Monthly Competition January 2010
Leigh Woolford was unable to attend due to a family emergency, but Martyn Pinches stepped into the breach to fill in for Leigh and judge the January monthly competition. With his usual smattering of jokes Martyn waded through the photographic offerings supplied by the members and with a little difficulty came up with a final selection to take the honours.
Although the colour print section was judged first, members were kept on tenterhooks to discover who had won until the end of the evening. Rob Owen, Hugh Winnan and Brian Trego were all in contention but Leigh finally plumped for Brian to win.
Rob Owen made up for being pipped at the post in the colour section by winning the monochrome section and John Harvey scooped the prize for the projected image.
