Meeting March 27 2009 - Competition and Welsh Salon Results
by Hugh Winnan
Friday last saw the final monthly competition of the season for the club and as usual attracted a large number of entries for Hywel Harries FRPS to judge. He commented that the overall quality was excellent and most of the prints were very well executed. Occasionally he found that detail was lost in shadow areas and also there could be highlights which were slightly burned out. He said that the Barry club was one of the few who still keep monochrome prints as a separate section in competitions, most clubs having merged it with the colour print section now.
