Welcome to Barry Camera Club
Our club is open to anyone of any age with an interest in photography. You don't even have to live in Barry. We operate from September to April and put on a programme of talks by photographers, monthly competitions and offer advice and encouragement at all levels.
Where Can I Find the Camera Club?
We meet regularly in the St. Francis Millennium Centre. Non-members are welcome to come along and see what the club is like - check out the Events diary to see what's on, or look at the calendar on the right hand side - the events for the season starting in September each year are normally up by the end of May.
How Often Do You Meet?
In September to April we meet weekly, generally on Fridays between 7:30PM and 10PM. We don't meet regularly May to August, but often organise photographic outings in these months.
What Do You Do?
Help each other to take better photographs! Getting together with like-minded photographers and working together helps us all improve. We also run and enter competitions, arrange lectures and demonstrations. You can see our upcoming programme on the Events tab, or if you want the complete calendar for the year to import to your calendar on the web or PDA, we also have the 2009 Programme in ICal format.
How Much Does It Cost to Join?
The fee for 2009/10 is £25, under-18s join free. We also charge £1.50 at every meeting to cover the costs of refreshments.
